DC had its first experience with the Gumball when Rob Dyrdek took part in 2002 in a drive from New York to Los Angeles with fellow skater Josh Kalis in a 'tuned' BMW M5. DC was so seduced by their enthusiasm to go 'Ballin' and by the 'spirit of the Gumball' that in 2004 DC became Gumball's official shoe sponsor and decided to send Rob and Big Black to tear up Europe. Only problem was finding a car big enough to fit Big Black!

This shoe, designed by one of DC's co-founders, Damon Way, came in a Limited Edition of just 1000 pairs available only in black and gold, and were given out to 300 drivers participating in the 2005 rally, and sold in only the most exclusive sneaker stores around the world. In 2005 DC hit Gumball at full speed and entered 3 of the most tuned up and super cool Subaru WRX rally cars, driven by DC Shoes boss' Ken Block, Damon Way and their respective partners, and of course Rob Dyrdek and Big Black in the third car.

Limited Edition of 1000 - Deep in the Gumball archives we've found just 20 pairs of these lucking around in several sizes, (in slightly squashed boxes) - but be quick once they are gone that's it!
