TRAVIS BARKER OUT OF HOSPITAL

Former Blink-182 drummer and regular Gumballer Travis Barker was this week released from hospital following the plane crash that nearly cost him his life.

Barker and celebrity disc jockey DJ AM (real name Adam Goldstein) were the only survivors of the crash at Columbia Metropolitan Airport, South Carolina, which occurred around midnight on 19 September.

Both Barker and Goldstein suffered second and third-degree burns in the crash but luckily escaped major injuries. Both men are expected to make full recoveries.

The two pilots of the Learjet and two associates of Barker – including Barker’s Gumball co-driver and long-term assistant Chris Baker - died instantly in the crash.

On the evening of the incident, Barker and Goldstein had been performing together under the name TRVSDJ-AM at a free concert at the University of South Carolina.

Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board have reported that the aircraft’s cockpit voice recorder revealed that the crew members believed a tyre had blown out and tried to abort the takeoff.
